DEEDS, CHANGES OF TITLE, AND NAME CHANGES: [Code, Sec. 331.604]

$5 per page + $1 Record Management Fee per transaction + $3 Electronic Tech Fee + Auditor’s Transfer Fee (see below)*

 

MULTI-PURPOSE REAL ESTATE RELATED FILINGS: (i.e., instruments that release multiple mortgages, assign multiple leases, etc.)  (Marked as one transaction)  [82 O.A.G. 417, May 3, 1982]  See Chapter 2, page 13.

 

$5  per page + $1 Record Management Fee + $3 Electronic Tech Fee (includes one transaction) + $9 per each additional transaction

* AUDITOR TRANSFER FEES - $5 per parcel [Sec.331.507(2), Code of Iowa.]

 

                A parcel of real estate includes: For real estate outside a city’s limits, all contiguous land

            lying  within a numbered section; for real estate located within a city, all contiguous land

            lying within a platted block or subdivision.  Within a numbered section, platted block or

            subdivision, land separated only by a public street, alley, or highway remains contiguous.

            * Auditor’s fee shall not exceed $50 for one instrument.

            $9 per request, copies are $5 per page

 

CERTIFICATION FEE (any document):

 

            $5 plus copy cost (per recorder’s association agreement)

            Copy fees of $1.00 per page

 

SURVEY CORNER CERTIFICATES:

 

$5 per page + $1 Record Management Fee + $3 Electronic Tech Fee per transaction (which includes one section) + $5 per each additional section ( per recorder’s association agreement)

 

[331.604(2)] A county shall not be required to pay a fee to the recorder for filing or recording instruments.

 

*These fees do not cover Vital Records – See Vital Records Manual
